Beautiful farmhouse with fantastic spaces, great views and a central, convenient location. The farmhouse had a quirky layout with 2 of the bedrooms accessible from inside and outside the house on an upstairs/outdoor landing. From here we enjoyed beautiful views from the bedroom balcony and upper outdoor seated area. The same 2 bedrooms are en suite and the downstairs bedroom is right next door to the main bathroom so everyone has plenty of personal space. Victoria was a 10 minute walk away, although uphill but manageable for everyone. A supermarket and restaurants were literally minutes from the farmhouse. Charles’s farmhouse was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and super comfortable. The wifi was flawless and we were kept entertained by the cable TV and DAB radio indoors. The pool area was spacious and lovely for enjoying mild Gozo evenings with friends. A wonderful stay, hope to enjoy again soon.

Beautiful villa in excellent location – We booked this villa for a week in October with our 3 children aged 3-7 and it was fantastic. Beautifully restored farmhouse with 3 bedrooms and 3 big, modern bathrooms with lovely open plan living/dining/kitchen area. There was lots of outdoor space and we had breakfast on the balcony looking up to the Citadella (which was lit up at night too). There was a matching children and adult’s picnic bench which our children loved. We also loved the pool, perfect size with plenty of outdoor furniture. It’s situated on a farm lane which meant it was peaceful with an excellent restaurant at the bottom of the lane called Brookies – highly recommend – excellent food (with lovely vegetarian options). We walked most days into Victoria for lovely coffee at Café Bunna. We walked to the Citadella and walked round it, big play park behind the bus station and plenty of shops. Great location to access other villages – Malsaforn and Xlendi Bay were our favourites, along with Ramla Bay and our children loved visiting Ninu’s cave (because it was under house). We hired a car and everything is very accessible car with drives from 5 to 20mins. Sunset at Dwerja was beautiful too. We have been to Malta before so only back over to Malta for the Popeye village but there is plenty to see in Malta too. The ferry is very frequent and efficient. The Farmhouse has everything you need in a lovely location. I’d highly recommend.

Fabulous, spacious private villa. Located just outside Victoria (a small walk into the gorgeous town), this villa has 3 well proportioned rooms all with ensuite. Myself and two friends booked for 2 weeks and found ample space for us to work, relax, cook and enjoy ourselves both together and apart! Fast wifi, great sized pool, lots of outdoor seating options and an amazing restaurant at the end of the lane as well as a bizarrely well stocked shop that’s smaller than the villa’s living room!

Charles’ farmhouse is the perfect vacation spot. It is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you will need for a fantastic vacation. It’s also even larger then we imagined from the photos. It was tempting to lounge by the pool all the time, but we did a lot of site seeing and the island of Gozo (and Malta) is so beautiful and charming, you will love it. The house is just a short walk outside of town but there is a grocery store around the corner with everything you need and a wonderful restaurant right across the street. One thing to keep in mind is that the walk into town is up a very steep hill. Also the people in Gozo are so friendly and helpful! It was an unforgettable vacation!

Just returned home yesterday after an amazing 6 nights at the Citadel Farmhouse. Charles was a fabulous host, with prompt responses to any queries leading up to and during our stay. We were offered plenty of information regarding farmhouse and also guidance with airport transfer etc. House itself was great. Really spacious – our group was made up of 5 adults & 1 baby. Plenty indoor & outdoor spaces to enjoy and thanks to the Gozo sunshine we also made use of the barbecue a couple of times! Beautiful, well-equipped kitchen for cooking and enjoying a meal at the table. Also restaurant ‘Brookies’ right across the road if you don’t want to cook or go far… Nice, quiet location but within easy walking distance to centre of Victoria and couple of bus stops closeby makes it well placed for exploring the rest of the island. Loved our stay here and would definitely return!

Perfect accommodation in a beautiful location for our first family sunny holiday- From the moment we got on the Ferry to Gozo we knew we had made the right holiday choice. After a beautiful scenic drive we arrived and entered the farmhouse in awe. Just stunning and perfect for our family with two girls. Each room is beautifully decorated with careful attention to detail to make if feel like a home from home. The location and views couldn’t be better. With all local amenities just a short walk away. We hired a car for our stay which gave the flexibility of experiencing Gozo at our own pace and we got to see nearly every part of this beautiful island with little short trips each day still allowing us time to return to the farmhouse and have time at the pool while enjoying a bbq. (The butcher at Arkadia Foodstore does amazing kebabs on skewers). We loved the short walk to Victoria wandering through all the streets and experiencing the local, stalls, wine and food. So many favourite spots but if I had to choose two they would be The Cittadel and Dwerja (day for the boat trip and night for the sunset). Beaches and bays are all perfect in their own way but think the girls favourite would be Rama Bay having pizza and pineapple mock tails on the beach. We had such a wonderful stay in Gozo with lovely memories made. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you Margo and Charles for making this possible. We hope to return x

Definitely recommend this beautiful farmhouse with wonderful views of the citadel,my family and I had an enjoyable holiday here. Charles was very informative and helpful when we booked and trustworthy. We love Gozo and it was st george’s fiesta not to be missed, the Maltese know how to celebrate with fireworks! I think the whole island descends on Victoria. The farmhouse was comfortable and clean we spent a lot of time relaxing around the pool. Loved it and recommend it to my friends and family and would return

Charles was a fantastic host. Super quick responses and he provided a really helpful info pack including directions so we found the house with no issues. The house is as fantastic as it looks in the pictures and in a very convenient location – we discovered everything on the island seemed to be a max 15 minute drive! Kids loved the pool and we found that there was more than enough room for all 4 of us. Check in was very straight forward and the kitchen extremely well equipped. We ate a lot at a restaurant called the Valley View in Xlendi which was excellent fresh local food and very reasonable. We also went to the Mekren Bakery and got hot fresh bread straight from the oven for breakfast which we ate on Ramla bay watching all the crabs come out of their holes. Amazing. Highly recommend both Gozo and more particularly Charles’s house.

The farmhouse is beautiful, very well furnished, with all facilities and in a strategic position! Don’t stay anywhere else – We just got back from the villa yesterday and we just want to get the next flight out for another week. We got in quite late because of flight times, it is a bit of a treck from the airport – bus – ferry – taxi but trust me, it’s worth it. The villa is designed and kitted out to a very high spec. Three great sized bedrooms all with they’re own bathrooms. The living space and kitchen are just lovely but for us, the highlight was the outside space – the pool is a wonderful size with lots of sun loungers etc. The location seems quite isolated until you discover that you are just a 10 mins walk to the town and the citadel. There’s a lovely little supermarket around the corner which has everything you need. We were able to contact Charles with any little question we had and he got straight back to us. We loved every second and will definitely be returning. Book it!!!

Lovely property with everything we needed for our stay Had a great time and being able to walk into Victoria was a huge bonus we hadn’t counted on when booking. The restaurant across the road was outstanding and also very convenient. Supermarket at the end of the drive, so you wouldn’t have to go far for anything if you don’t want.

“A fantastic 5* home in the beautiful island of Gozo. The accommodation is of a very high standard and location is ideal for visiting Victoria which is a 10minute walk away . The house with its own private pool allows time for relaxation and is a great base for visiting the island . I would highly recommend a stay here to all and the owners were extremely helpful with loads of great information available before and during our visit. We will defiantly be booking our return visit soon . Can’t thank Charles and Margo enough for sharing their beautiful home and Joe for being on hand if needed . 100% recommendation from Scotland”

The villa itself as old rustic charm yet having all the advantage of a new build. The abundance of outdoor space means that the property has sunshine all day long unlike many other properties in Gozo. The location is ideal, allowing access to the main town of Victoria on foot, where there are numerous shops, restaurants and bars but also offering a quiet and tranquil setting. Having a rental car means any beach or resort on Gozo is only a 15 minute drive, so the only decision you need to make each day is which one you would like to visit. As a couple we do not want to be constantly in the tourist resorts, so the Citadel View is ideal to have a sanctuary for private relaxation.

The farmhouse was absolutely perfect! In an amazing location with a wonderful view of the citadel, not to mention panoramas of the surrounding countryside. Facilities were also spot on and the house was decorated tastefully, with lots of attention to detail and to the finishing touches, that made it just that little bit more special. All of the outside areas, including the swimming pool, were spotless and immaculately maintained, whilst the facilities (kitchen equipment, air conditioning, bathrooms, showers etc.) were more than adequate. The reserved car parking space outside was very useful, as the little country lane that the farmhouse is on is quite narrow. Joe, who welcomed us when we arrived, showed us around the farmhouse and was our main contact if we needed anything during our stay, was friendly and always responded promptly to our requests. There really is nothing we would have changed about the farmhouse, and can’t wait for our next stay!
